Grab your sunscreen and head down to Solomons Island this weekend to watch the fantastic Dragon Boat races at the Solomons Island Dragon Boat Festival. Happening this Friday and Saturday, August 26th and 27th, 2016!
The festival will begin with opening ceremonies at 5:30pm on Friday on the front lawn of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Dragon Boat Races will kick off at 9am on Saturday morning and finish around 3:00pm.
The races will take place on the Patuxent River in front of the Solomons Island Riverwalk. Food and vendors will be at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Admission and parking are FREE, so paddles up!!
